About
Apple Streusel Bars don't mess around; they know what parts of an apple crumble, brown betty, or cobbler everyone loves—the streusel and the filling—and cut right to the chase! These bars sandwich the jammy apple filling between layers of the buttery, crumbly, cinnamon-sugar crunch that is classic streusel. The smooth and sweet vanilla glaze over the top just takes this dessert to the next level. Apple Streusel Bars might just replace pies as the go-to dessert of the holidays!
Ingredients
- For the bars:
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 3/4 cup quick-cooking oats

Step 7 -Allow the crust to cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes.
Step 8 -Mix the apples, the cinnamon, the ginger, the cloves, and the remaining brown sugar together in a bowl.
Step 9 -Spread the apple mixture over the crust.
Step 10 -Sprinkle the apples with the reserved crumb mixture.
Step 11 -Bake the apples until tender, about 30-35 minutes.
Step 12 -Let the bars cool on a wire rack completely.
Step 13 -Whisk together the confectioners' sugar and the milk in a bowl.
Step 14 -Drizzle the glaze over the top of the cooled bars.
Step 15 -Cut into bars and serve.
