Ingredients
- 1 (12-ounce) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1/2 cup horseradish sauce
- 3/4 pound sliced deli ham
- 6 slices Swiss cheese, halved
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
- 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
Step 1 -Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
Step 2 -Cut the rolls in half horizontally without separating the rolls.
Step 3 -Arrange the bottom halves of the rolls in the prepared baking pan.
Step 4 -Spread the cut-side of the bottom rolls with the horseradish sauce and then layer with the ham and the cheese, and top with the top rolls.
Step 5 -In a small skillet, heat the butter over medium-high heat.
Step 6 -Add the onion to the butter and cook, while stirring, until it is tender, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 7 -Stir the brown sugar, the spicy brown mustard, the poppy seeds, the Worcestershire sauce, and the garlic powder into the onion mixture.
Step 8 -Pour the onion mixture over the rolls and refrigerate, covered, at least 4 hours or up to overnight.
Step 9 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 10 -Remove the rolls from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
Step 11 -Bake the sliders, covered, about 25 minutes.
Step 12 -Carefully uncover the pan and bake until they are golden-brown, about 5-10 minutes.
Step 13 -Serve.
