Ingredients

  • 1 (15.25-ounce) box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (5.9-ounce) family-size package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 2 cups 2% milk

Directions

Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 -Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 -Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Step 4 -Evenly sprinkle the dry pudding mix over top of the cake mix.

Step 5 -Sprinkle 1 3/4 cups of the chocolate chips on top of the dry pudding mix.

Step 6 -Drizzle the milk over the chocolate chips and gently stir to combine; the mixture will appear thick and lumpy.

Step 7 -Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the cake batter.

Step 8 -Bake the cake until the top appears set and the edges pull away from the dish, about 35-40 minutes.

Step 9 -Transfer the dish to a wire rack and let the cake cool slightly.

Step 10 -Slice and serve warm.
