This recipe for Lemon Herb Pork Chops takes the traditional main course and elevates it with zesty lemon, savory garlic, and earthy herbs like sage and rosemary. Just rub the mixed ingredients onto the chops, pop them into the oven, and you'll have a flavorful baked dinner in no time! Lemon Herb Pork Chops are easy to make and perfectly seasoned.
Ingredients
- 4 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemons rinds, finely shredded
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 pork loin chops, about 1 1/4-inches-thick
- 2 tablespoons neutral-flavored oil
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Combine the garlic, the lemon rinds, the rosemary, the salt, the sage, and the pepper.
Step 3 -Trim the fat from the pork chops.
Step 4 -Rub the spice mixture onto both sides of each of the pork chops.
Step 5 -Heat the oil in a cast-iron skillet or large frying pan on the stovetop over hot heat.
Step 6 -Sear each of the chops on both sides just until a golden-brown jacket forms, about 1-2 minutes per side, then place them on a rimmed baking sheet.
Step 7 -Bake until cooked through, registering 145 degrees F internally, about 45 minutes.
Step 8 -Let the meat rest for at least 5 minutes then serve.
