Craving some authentic Thai food doesn't have to mean you need a trip around the world or even a trip to a restaurant. The traditional flare of Thai Peanut Beef will have your cravings covered! The rich, robust, and peanuty flavor of the sauce latched onto the tender, juicy flanked steak is really all you've ever wanted. Even though it is customary to be quiet when the locals eat their meal, your tastebuds will be squealing with delight. Be notorious, make some noise, and make this Thai Peanut Beef for your next craving. It's "nuttin'" but good!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons sriracha
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 pounds flank steak, thinly sliced across the grain
- kosher salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons peanuts, chopped
Directions
Step 1 -In a large bowl, whisk the peanut butter, the soy sauce, the brown sugar, the sriracha, and the water.
Step 2 -In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil.
Step 3 -Add the steak to the oil and cook until it is browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 4 -Season the steak with the kosher salt and the black pepper.
Step 5 -Stir the peanut butter mixture into the steak and cook until it is heated through, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 6 -Transfer the saucepan from the heat.
Step 7 -Plate the steak with the sauce, garnish with the green onions and the peanuts, and serve.
